Allusion blinds questions

What customers ask us about allusion blinds.

01What is an Allusion blind?

A sheer vertical: soft fabric panels with a louvre vane behind each one. Rotate the vanes for privacy like a vertical blind, or push through the sheers like a curtain.

02Are they better than vertical blinds for patio doors?

They do the same job with a softer, curtain-like look and no clattering louvres. You can also walk straight through without drawing them back first.

03Do they block light?

Allusion is a light-filtering product — closed vanes give full privacy and a gentle glow rather than blackout. Pair with a roller behind if you need a dark room.

04How wide can they go?

Up to around 5 metres in a single headrail, drawing left, right or split from the centre — ideal for bifold doors.

05Can they be motorised?

Yes — a quiet motorised headrail with remote or app control is available; wand operation is standard.

06How do I clean them?

A light vacuum with the upholstery brush or a lint roller. The panels are dust-resistant and don’t need taking down.

07Do you measure and fit allusion blinds for free?

Yes. Measuring and fitting are included for every customer across Staffordshire and Cheshire. The written quote you get on the day is the price you pay.

08How long until my allusion blinds are fitted?

Most are made and fitted within a week of your visit (5–7 working days). We confirm a fitting date when you order and call the day before.

09Can I see samples before I decide?

Yes — that is what the free home visit is for. We bring the sample books so you can see fabrics against your walls in your own light.
